About Sarah

Sarah is a solo mum to two children and a rescue dog named Pumpkin. She lives at the edge of a tidal estuary in England, UK. Already gaining a BA (Hons) degree in History from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, she is currently studying for an MA in Nature and Travel Writing at Bath Spa University.

She has spent most of her working life outdoors, exploring ways nature can support both children and adults. From teaching horticultural skills to neurodivergent adults to mentoring students in schools and colleges, she has always been drawn to the connection between people and the natural world.

More recently, she exchanged students for dogs, founding an award-winning dog walking business.

Her work has been featured in The Daily Mail Femail, Woman & Home Magazine, and on BBC Breakfast.

It was walking dogs that deepened her connection to nature—particularly through her own reactive rescue dog. The routine of quiet walks in secluded places helped her build a bond with both her dog and the landscapes she moved through, shaping her perspective as a nature writer.
